Bachelor of Teaching

The School of Education offers a Bachelor of Teaching degree which can be completed in a minimum of four years as a double degree with Arts, Economics, Mathematical and Computer Sciences or Science. The Bachelor of Teaching program prepares students for teaching in middle and senior secondary schools. It is also suitable for students intending to work with adult learners. Students will develop a significant understanding of the subjects to be taught through completion of the degree program undertaken concurrently with the Bachelor of Teaching. At the same time students will be introduced to educational theory and gain practical experience in the classroom.

Quickfacts

• The Bachelor of Teaching double degree program is a four-year (or full time equivalent) course designed for students beginning tertiary study.
