Master of Education

The Master of Education consists of a structured core program of course work followed by a research thesis. Two courses must be studied, one of which must be a research methodology course from those listed for the Master of Educational Studies degree. The thesis component involves similar requirements for original investigations to the PhD, but on a more restricted scale, since the time allowed is less than the time required for a PhD. The thesis is assessed by examiners, at least one of whom must be external to the University.
